Hebron's Martha Leach Captures the U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship

Kentucky's family of golf organizations congratulates Martha Leach of Hebron, Kentucky, who captured the 2009 U.S. Women's Mid-Amateur Championship at the Golden Hills Golf & Turf Club in Ocala, Florida with a 3&2 win over Laura Coble of Augusta, Georgia. Serving as Martha's caddie during the Championship was her husband and Kentucky PGA Member John Leach, who is the PGA Director of Golf at Traditions Golf Club in Hebron.
Martha joins Gay Brewer, Jr. (1949 U.S. Junior Amateur), Mary Lou Daniel Crocker (1962 U.S. Girls' Junior), Eddie Mudd (1976 U.S. Public Links) and Jodie Mudd (1980 and 1981 U.S. Public Links) as Kentucky's USGA Championship winners.
