Kentucky's family of golf organizations congratulates Louisville's Leah Wigger for qualifying for the 2009 LPGA Tour.  Leah earned her Tour card at the recent LPGA Qualifying Tournament at LPGA International Golf Club in Daytona Beach, Florida.  She is a past KGA-PGA, Inc. Junior Player of the Year, KHSAA State Champion, and a veteran of the Pepsi Junior Golf Tour.  For information and results from the LPGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, click HERE.

Also, at the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament in LaQuinta, California, former University of Louisville star Derek Fathauer qualified for the 2009 PGA Tour with a tie for second place at 24-under-par.  Pepsi Tour veteran Josh Teater also competed in the tournament, and earned an exemption onto the 2009 Nationwide Tour.  Brandon Brown, also a Pepsi Tour veteran, earned conditional status on the 2009 Nationwide Tour.  For more information and results from the PGA Tour Qualifying Tournament, click HERE.
